Collect Gutter Water in Water Butts
Here is a simple demonstration of a water butt collecting water from the gutter on a shed.
Once you have collected rain water from the gutter you can use it to water plants and wash the car etc. This saves mains water which uses a lot of electricity to purify and pump.

Normally no more than five minutes are needed to clean yourself in the shower.

If you are comfortable about sharing a bath or shower with someone then less water is required.
