To sterilise and pump tap water uses an enormous amount of electricity, so using water has a less than obvious effect on the environment. It is important to use water as efficiently as possible even in a country that has plenty of water to go round.

Fill up your Dishwasher

By filling up your dishwasher with as much dishes as you can, then you minimise the number of washes needed to wash the same amount of dishes, which means you consume less electricity and use less water.

Turn off your Taps properly

It is estimated that up to 10 litres of water can be wasted each time you clean your teeth while leaving the tap on. A massive amount of water is wasted by leaving the tap dripping, those drops add up! If you remember to turn the tap off properly whenever you are not using it and you will save a lot of water.
